Gang Alternative, Inc. Continues with Free Food Giveaways for the Community
Our Free Food Giveaways with FLIPANY have continued to thrive. The distribution held on Friday, April 10 at the Homestead PAL served over 125 families.
We received additional donations from Start of Smart in partnership with Farm Share, Nascar and Feed the Children that allowed us to provide each family a box of toiletries (ie. soap, shampoo and conditioner, hand sanitizer, shaving cream, diapers, books and shoes). We also received bags of non-perishables from the Homestead Outreach Team (HOT).
To ensure safety and minimize physical contact, items were placed in the trunk of attendees’ cars. Additionally, all Gang Alternative, Inc. staff wore masks and gloves.
Giveaways will continue being held at the Homestead PAL, Grace Haitian United Methodist and Shalom Community Christian Church in North Miami on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays starting at 1 p.m. while supplies lasts.
