Incarcerated adults
Miami-Dade County
Support transitioning citizens on personal paths to self-sufficiency,

We help people in correctional facilities who are returning to Miami-Dade County prepare for life after release.
Before they leave, we offer job training, work readiness support, and case management. After release, we continue to help with finding a job and navigating reentry challenges, so they can successfully return to their communities.
Project ACTION helps people coming out of jail or prison build the skills they need to find and keep a job. The program focuses on teaching both essential life and work skills, providing industry-recognized credentials, and preparing people for the workplace. It also aims to fill job openings in areas where workers are in high demand.
This focuses on removing barriers to employment—like past criminal records, drug use, or gang involvement—that can lead people back to prison or keep them stuck in poverty. The program uses assessments to understand each person’s risks and strengths and then builds up their job skills, education, and personal development.
The program sets clear goals based on federal workforce standards, and it tracks progress in skills, education, and behavior. It also uses proven strategies from previous reentry programs to make sure people get support both before and after release from jail or prison.
We help people overcome obstacles that keep them from finding and keeping jobs. When people can’t find stable work, they’re more likely to face challenges like poverty, returning to jail, substance abuse, or getting involved with gangs.
