Project ENGAGE (Embracing Navigational Guidance to promote Autonomy in Employment)

Project ENGAGE helps adults with mental health or substance use challenges find and keep good jobs. We serve people in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties—especially those who are immigrants or don’t speak much English. Our goal is to help people become more independent and confident through employment.

We use proven strategies like Supported Employment and Motivational Interviewing to give each person the tools they need for success.

Goal 1: Help People Get Jobs

  • Connect with a job coach within 1 week of joining
  • Explore job options within 1 month
  • Facilitate getting a job that they choose
  • Facilitate getting a job that pay at least 25% more than minimum wage

Goal 2: Help People Keep Jobs

  • Coaches check in at least 4 times a month
  • The majority of those placed in jobs will still be working after 3 months
  • Support team set up within 4 months
  • Personalized benefits plans available to all who want them

Goal 3: Build Strong Support Systems

  • Advisory group meets regularly to share ideas and improve the program
  • Local businesses give feedback and help connect people to job opportunities

Everyone deserves the chance to work, grow, and thrive—no matter where they come from or what challenges they face.

Project ENGAGE will support people in finding and keeping meaningful jobs until 2030. Whether someone is just starting out or getting back on their feet, GA is here to help every step of the way.

GA is creating stronger futures—one job at a time.
