YouthBuild

YouthBuild (YB) offers opportunity youth within disadvantaged communities opportunities to secure and maintain a livable wage through construction jobs, which have the potential to provide a livable wage and career advancement. YB is a pre-apprenticeship program that offers in-class learning and hands-on occupational skills training for a seamless transition into GA’s Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP). Classroom instruction includes certification in industry credentialing (NCCER, OSHA 10), employability skills, financial literacy, community service learning, and leadership training. Participants will receive training in residential construction, weatherization, and green jobs.

Through YouthBuild, participants learn technical and soft skills for employability, the basic knowledge and safety proficiencies that are required on worksites, and the appropriate use of construction equipment.
